positiveSOUL Productions: A Vision in Motion
Founded by American musician and educator Al Campos, positiveSOUL Productions began in 1987 in a San Francisco apartment in North Beach. At 560-A Vallejo Street—with a Roland sequencer, a Radio Shack microphone, and a Fostex 4-track cassette recorder—Al took his first steps into songwriting and music production. With no formal training, he began crafting soul and R&B songs straight from the heart, driven by passion, curiosity, and purpose.
From those humble beginnings, positiveSOUL Productions has evolved into a multifaceted creative force, blending music composition, production, independent record label work, education, and cultural exchange. We are grounded in the power of lyrics, poetry, storytelling, and spiritual self-expression—always striving to use music as a tool to uplift, educate, and connect.
Whether we are writing songs, producing records, teaching students, or directing gospel choirs around the world, everything we do must be a positive experience and a soulful expression—authentic, intentional, and deeply felt.
As an independent label, we consistently release music with high production value, meaningful lyrics, and integrity. We create the kind of music people are longing to hear again—great songs performed by real singers, played by real musicians, with messages that move you and stay with you.
We absolutely do not use AI in the creation of our original music—ever. Every melody, lyric, and beat is created by human hands, voices, and spirit.
Now based in Copenhagen, Denmark, positiveSOUL Productions is global—collaborating, performing, and connecting with communities throughout the USA, Europe, Africa, and Asia. What started in San Francisco continues to grow, guided by one core principle: soulful music with a positive purpose.
